Google Earth and the Bible
So, you're reading your Bible and it says,
And you think, "Endor. Hmm, I wonder where that is?" Instead of trying to find it in the map section in the back of your Bible, a FREE awesome program does that and more! In fact, you can virtually fly from your home to Endor with a click of your mouse button. It is quite amazing. Here's all you need. Download and install Google Earth from here. After installing Google Earth, double click each of the files below that you're interested in to download the file. Each file is in Zip format, so you will need to unzip each file. After unzipping a file, double click it and it will open in Google Earth as a temporary file. After you have double clicked the files you are interested in, close Google Earth. You will be asked if you want to save these places to your "My Places" file. If you want to save them, answer yes. If you have never played with Google Earth, you will see that there are lots of options. You can find articles about places, links to the Bible passages referred to by the location, historical maps that can be superimposed upon Google's earth, and pictures. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Special "Thank You!" to www.openBible.info
